Last week I bought a game camera on Amazon, set it up, mounted it on a post next to my bird feeders; had no idea what results I would get. In 48 hours, the camera shot almost 500 pics. I saved the best; here's one: Red-Bellied Woodpecker on the suet block.
This is my first attempt at posting my pics on DU!

(31,979 posts)Very nicely done! I love those woodpeckers. I see one that visits my suet feeder frequently and have named him Big Red.
I like those squirrel baffles, too!
Im jealous of your green grass. We have all white on the ground here.

(5,801 posts)Are the round cages to keep squirrels out? To eat, do small birds pass through the bars or do all birds reach through the bars?

(1,523 posts)The caged feeder does keep the squirrels out. Small birds climb through the cage, no problem. Large cardinals, blackbirds, and the like can't get through. I have one uncaged feeder for the bigger birds.
The feeder is on Amazon: Audubon Squirrel Proof Caged Tube Feeder
