Mitch McConnell the silence regarding his injuries, current health status, and 'survivability'

Remember how we always got updates on ailing politicians, injuries, etc. for every instance except this one?

I'm not much of one for betting, but I have $5 that says the more they do not say, the more it is likely that he is completely incapacitated, on life support, brain dead, and did not have a DNR.

I do believe he was assaulted by someone on "his side", remember the face grabbing incident with gaetz?
The MAGATS are violent people.

the Governor to appoint someone outside of the party that the Senator belongs. Someone said yesterday that the KY legislature will produce 3 names and the governor chooses from those submitted.

that will open up on the repuke side. Sadly ditch may be the only thing keeping them from full on hitler shit. As evil as he is I think he believes in the foundational principles of this country. But he is also a Darwinian capitalist with extreme true conservative ideology, not full on batshit fascist shit. A lot of this is a game to him, he's fucking good at it, and he can't stand to lose. I for one would like to see him hang on till 2024 then burn in hell

have been known for a long time.

I was drawn by your take on him personally and wonder if/how much could be true. A rather fascinating topic to me.

Fwiw, I've seen him as fundamentally extremely lacking in personal qualities needed to serve the position he holds -- a trumpian-level mistake, filling a position requiring commitment to foundational principles with someone strongly lacking in principles, or commitment to an ideology. Some believe he has no significant, formative ideology, that it's all about drive for personal power. Reportedly for 30 years the well-known summit of his ambition was to become the Republican senate majority leader. My guess has been that in an era of growth of new ultrawealthy classes, he allied with and facilitated that vast source of power.

We also know that since he achieved his summit, his party has done great damage to our foundational principles as applied through government, was instrumental in packing the courts with people I believe are there to replace them, and come close to destroying the senate and the party.

That said, I think everything you said could be valid, doesn't really conflict. He is effectively extremely conservative, no matter what he might be in another era. He could sorta believe in foundational principles even while serving interests intent on changing them dramatically. It is a power game, and I suspect he doesn't count the same mistakes observers do. I see him as both extremely good at working the levers of power, establishing strong control, but otherwise fundamentally very incompetent.

Speaking of, I was fascinated to learn that he's well known among his colleagues for caring little about issue substance. He reportedly pays so little attention to that that he typically couldn't hold up his share of a conversation about most -- but he doesn't try, too busy with what does interest him. (!)

My sister had gone on vacation. When she got and and cane to visit me she was so shocked bc I was pretty bruised in some places.

Thank goodness it was a temporary about 6 months thing in particular because many of my favorite foods where extremely limited or forbidden. I was not going to go against it.
Boy did I have a fabulous meal out when it was done!

I remember last year when his hands were extensively bruised (looked like injections) and his lips were incredibly blue. Blood thinners seemed as good a guess as any.

He would still be in ICU with complete incapacitation. But they don't send you to a physical rehab facility for a simple tumble down the steps either. Concussion is reported. However, he can afford people 24/7 to come into his home to keep an eye on concussion recovery.

My old lady group that has been through a few rodeos of this sort have our money on he had a stroke up the steps with a hard face plant at the bottom. Concussion maybe but probably stroke recovery rehab. Falls kill a lot of old people.

(For someone who you bet was completely incapacitated, on life support, and brain dead" he looked relatively healthy speaking on the floor of the Senate today).
