This makes today's shooting at East High School even more upsetting:

Marc Sallinger
@MarcSallinger

Less than 3 weeks ago, hundreds if not thousands of East High School students walked out of class and marched to the Capitol protesting for gun control.

This was after one of their classmates was killed in a shooting outside the school.

Today, another shooting at East

Just like you don’t have registered offenders too nearby you could define the same restrictions but for guns

It was kind of bugging me that the location wasn't given, especially for a school with such a generic name. Who knows how many "East High Schools" there are in this country?

Where I live, there's no East Hgh school, but there is a South High School. Technically, the full name is (Name of Town) South High School, but everybody just calls it South. If I saw a thread about a shooting at "South High School" with no location named, I'd be freaking out until I found out which South High School it was.

I think avoiding freaking people out unnecessarily is a good policy.

And I live in the land of Gov. Abbott and his criminals.

It is just sad. No matter what we do.......

I believe Beto beat Cruz. One of our DU'ers wrote a book about the voting machines in Texas, a long time ago. I think his handle was TIA. I had a DU'er from NM come to Dallas to investigate the "Protest Warriors"..... 2003-4.
PunPirate delivered.

I don't quite know what to do right now. I know I'm not done. Just have lots to do taking care of my mother (87 with dementia, in remarkably good health). I am blessed with good fortune. Not wealthy. Just able to meet bills and take care of mother.

More guns, no legislation, Abbott and his cronies, this abortion bs, the banning of books!!
Who are these people??

More deep breaths. More yoga.....Shit guys, I've not a clue right now!

Waiting quietly to see what plays out in the next few weeks. I like Jack Smith. I respect Garland. I don't believe we could have a better president right now than Biden. He's lived a lifetime for this moment in time. I hope.

• For real gun regulation,
• To oust the merchants of death and domestic terrorism from office
• To restore domestic tranquility, and
• To defeat fascism in the U.S.

because they stare death in the face every time they enter school, or run an "active shooter" drill.

A single life taken by a shooter is an abomination not to be tolerated.
TODAY'S SHOOL KIDS will be the greatest generation ever.
