but it's clear you don't understand statistics...In order to make ANY kind of case, you 'd have to "keep going" to about about 100 MILLION and even then it would be weak.
I'd guess your time would be better spent trying to understand why you, a proud navy guy, lack so much pride in your country.

We rank 27th in the world for healthcare and education.
We rank 34th out of 35 developed countries for child poverty (just beating out Romania).

But don’t worry, we still have more people incarcerated than China.

Anyone can quote those numbers, which are, by the way, subject to change, and don't directly correlate to the intelligence level of populations; it's far more complicated than that.

Tell you what, Ray, I'm not much for self-hating Americans, so come back when you've acquired some understanding of statistics, politics and world affairs.

Apparently Florida charges them double property tax.

That's pretty sweet, as deals go. You pay twice the taxes but get no say in how things are done.
All they can do about the dead fish is sell their houses and not go to Florida anymore.

To be fair, Obama (who was elected Senator in 2004) got the same type of criticism, regardless of whether it was warranted or not.

The Canadian is correct.

It is over 18 months before the 2024 election. I grant that there are no laws covering this. That being said campaigning should be limited to the start of the year of the election. Of course the electorate is stupid anyway so maybe they need over a year and a half of drivel thrown at them. Imo, subject to correction by legal experts, congress could pass legislation stating campaigns for national elections are limited and can only start after Jan 1 of the election year. The system now is non-stop campaigning which is not good for governing.

Okay, how about the 7 Million who kicked Trump out in favor of Biden?

It's hard to believe people here are SO lacking in self-respect they would negatively broad brush their own citizenry of 320 plus Million. Were we to do this to ANY other country, those posts would be deleted, and you know it

Bush1, Bush 2…and they went frigging crazy because a black man was elected twice. So, yeah, the electorate is stupid.

And I have plenty of self-respect. Everybody is an idiot about something. They are not idiots about everything all the time. From purity tests to voting for Jill Stein to not voting at all.

Elections in this country have been pathetic for years with low turnouts and presidents getting elected because they are folksy or a “great guy to have a beer with” or who knows what.

Biden over Trump..So, no, the electorate is not stupid.
..See how that works? What's "stupid" is characterizing the entire electorate by its worst, and frequently smallest element.

...but every day desantis is elsewhere is a good day. The biggest advantage is the rest of the country gets to see this nazi pos up close and personal. Watching him flail in the shallow end of the national pool is refreshing. We've known this for years. Murdoch's chosen one is going nowhere.

I hate this place and am stuck here, but it gets even worse when our wonderful winter visitors come.

Panhandle is just the beginning of this disaster. Between red tide and mountains of seaweed , the beach is wrecked.

Not to mention our psychotic torpedo of a "governor."

That said, I think I understand your feeling. I'm retired and live in the Chicago area. I did consider moving to Florida, but, much as I like their winters, I don't think I could stand the conservatism or the hot, humid summers.
