The "Normalcy" of Donald J Trump.
Here we go again!
The "media" is reporting on the inevitability of Donald Trump winning his Party's nomination and being elected the next president of the United States. Personally, although I have no choice, I do not want to live in a country where people think Donald Trump is "normal". Excuse me if I do not see the "good things" he has done. I see a scofflaw and a grifter who attempted to overthrow our government in a violent coup. I see a traitor who despises our country. I see an ignorant, uncouth, uncivil person bent on dividing our nation. I see a criminal who has stolen millions of dollars from his followers and always gravitates to the lowest common denominator. Unfortunately, I cannot tell the nation anything more than they already know. I know it is not "normal".

1. I think Trump is played out
He has to stay in the race to try to stay out of jail through extra-legal means (like he tried to use to stay in office). He's nuts if he thinks that's going to work, imo. But he's a desperate man, really.

11. Yes, I think you're right
He has a few hardcore followers, but not enough to make a difference. I'm sure he realizes on some level he is done, but as you say, he is trying to stay out of jail. Very desperate indeed.

12. Orange is definitely a good color on him
Damn, that man gets uglier all the time. Guess it is his inner self coming to the surface.

16. Have you ever noticed his facial "X"?
His scowling eyebrows, The lines from nose to down-turned, pouting mouth. His drooping eyelids and jowls.
Everything on his face forms an X centered on his porcine snout. |

19. Whoa, you're right
I never noticed that before.
When he was younger, he looked like an entitled rich punk and a bit sleazy, but as he aged, he just kept getting uglier. |

3. At this point, the issue is the American people.
A country which thinks a ruthless criminal sociopath is not only normal, but suitable to be the most powerful man
on the planet, representing the US. A country which thinks Trump's crimes are acceptable to the point the prosecution of his crime spree is up for debate. The national American character has changed dramatically and for the worse. |

15. I have begun to wonder if success or failure of the USA depends on our - Dems and liberals - ability
to figure out a way to cause the opposition to turn on and cannibalize each other. i don't mean a few jibes between MTG and Boobert. I mean rank and file, church and business communities, saints vs sinners.

21. We must realize that the GOP and US enemies are at war with the US.
And act accordingly.
We must find a way to save our democracy and yes turning the PutinGOP against itself is a good idea. That is exactly what they have done to the Dems and to the US. Used our values, freedom, democracy against us, weaponized them to destroy. |

4. He stole a bunch from the USA
Between the tax evasion and all the shady self dealing he took us for hundreds of millions. And then there were those side deals w the UAE & Saudi Arabia.

5. The "media" you speak of,
is owned and managed by domestic oligarchs who are just fine with Trump as dictator. Propaganda works, even works on Democrats and Independents. Most people do not know the difference between a fence and a wall because of propaganda.
Domestic oligarchs, the big donors, would rather see DeSantis as dictator but I believe that Trump will destroy DeSantis. Cable news is so bad that I only watch Nicolle Wallace and Rachel Maddow. Our democracy is on the brink, it is why I have been beating the drum that time matters in indicting Trump. |

7. The 'media' has also spent weeks telling us
"banks are failing" and asking "should you go take your money out?" They would love to create a run on banks. Makes good headlines.

8. I predicted he would be normalized during his first campaign
the media can't help it - it needs to sell to all sides. It is also often intellectually undermatched. And doesn't remember history well.
Sad. |

10. I can't wait until he drags out his old line, "What have you got to lose?"
He got away with that in 2016, but now it doesn't mean squat. We KNOW what we'd lose with Chump as President. Even the Repukes know it, and that's why I find it hard to believe he'd win the nomination.
I believe the Repukes would be happy to nominate someone horrible, like Ted Nugent or Tom Brady, before they would nominate Chump a 2nd time. ![]() ![]() |

18. Who would have thought that would work?
It blew me away at the time. No one has ever campaigned on such a slogan. It sounds rather like, "Vote for me. You could do worse." Well of course, it is unlikely we could do worse.

13. He'd be nominated again
What I want to know is why, with a track record of losing the House, White House and Senate in a single four-year term, the first time Republicans lost the White Houde after just four years and the American people have rejected the MAGA agenda in each of the last three elections.
But this is whom they worship still despite him being a political liability due to a single fluke seven years ago when Americans had the worst drunken one night stand of all time. |

An insult to all those who are not pieces of dung.
