There is a Ralph's, Pavillion, Target, Walmart, Amazon Fresh, Sprouts, Aldi, Vons, Whole Food, Vallarta, and Island Pacific within five miles of my apartment and the shelves are fully stored. Eggs are also coming down in price. Oh, forgot Trader a Joe's. Gosh darn it, I forgot Costco too.

WTF! I'm sure when contractors and trades persons need quality tools they think of none other than their local King Soopers. Hy Bob, this pry bar isn't worth a fuck, where did you get it?

(32,075 posts)Dementia Donald has been spewing the same "shelves are empty" bullshit since Biden took office. I'm not surprised that he forgot that people were wiping their asses with coffee filters while he was in charge, because they couldn't get toilet paper. Or, bleach. Or, laundry detergent. Or, hand sanitizer. Or, PPEs. Or, rubbing alcohol. Or, bread. Or, baking yeast... When he has these evening rallies, he always shows signs of sun-downing, like forgetting things.
The shelves here are well-stocked, for the most part. When they're not, it's because they haven't gotten to re-stocking them from the Wednesday/Saturday crowds. I go early in morning, and most of the time, the shelf-stockers make the aisles nearly impassable.

(12 posts)Once again, our bronzed adonis (aka tRump) was off again pitching his endless stream of lies about everything he thinks is wrong in this country as if it was nirvana under his watch. I saw some interviews that some people did with his supporters in Waco and you almost wanted to cry. Pure stupidity when responding to reasons they support tRump. These people have NO chance of returning to reality and it scares the hell out of me that they can vote. They've gone far off the deep end with no life preserver on hand to save them!

(7,872 posts)stocked and rarely short of product. The only delays are when some fool lays on a sale and doesn't stock enough beforehand. Longest I've had to wait was later the same day or tomorrow, and that has been rare since before Xmas. The only persistent slowdowns are when several trucks arrive at the same time and they have to decide who unloads first.
Even though there are quite a few more people living in the Bitterroot than pre-COVID we seem to have more than enough food, hardware, and clothes.
We do have more than enough MAGA fools that we could afford to export them somewhere else.

(28,442 posts)They aren't completely wiped out like early in the pandemic, but long swaths of shelving in between items. It's mostly been paper goods (TP and paper towels), but also in the bread aisle and some healthcare (deodorant and dental floss). This has been in the last two months or so, and I can go to a different grocery store to find the items. But it is happening, in Western Massachusetts.

(128,494 posts)Thing is, this part of the city (including where that supermarket is) isn't in the area of the city that pulls water from the Delaware River. Ours comes from the Schuylkill River. The city had even included a map roughly showing who would have been impacted and it wasn't here.
Meanwhile, everything else was stocked including 99 cents/lb hams (especially with it being a Monday and the new circular came out this past Friday).

(1 post)Lack of future planning thanks to backwater Repubs and a result of growth without a game plan, combined with being the tucked away corner and our grocery stores are still on the struggle bus but it's getting better. Eggs are down to half the price and normal. Milk is back to regular price. Dry goods are a bit better. Meat is still hit or miss (chicken mostly) but rebounding. Juice/soft cheese is a luxury item by brand haha ha ha. ehhh. But if you look around you can find it and again.. it's not entirely gone. We still have no formula to speak of. Our produce in big box stores is deplorable at best. Most people in this area are buying what they can at local markets. Was at Walmart last night and they were down to two bags of potatoes and 19 roma tomatoes for the Super Walmart, which services three counties. Therein lies the problem. The red states are still struggling but us blue people are here trying to fix it and make it work.
Caliman73
(11,725 posts)He probably got a Bleat on his platform from someone (likely in a Red state) who may be experiencing logistical problems. Since Trump has no relationship with the truth, he just shoots off at the mouth.
We have had no problems in any of the Grocery stores and other food outlets near us, finding merchandise in Central California.
