Defamation payouts by Media should not permitted as a tax deduction.

Not sure if medical corporations get taxpayer subsidized medical gross negligence payouts, for such things removing the wrong lung….but where is the public welfare purpose??

Isn’t the tax code designed to encourage certain activity and discourage others, all in the public for the public and general interest? How is encouraging defamation by a media company in the public interest?

Where is the Bill in Congress?? Seems ripe for debate at least.

I think any payout for an intentional tort should not be tax deductible.
