--Eddie Slovik, the only US soldier executed for desertion during World War II, to the members of his firing squad on the morning of his death
There is much joy in Mudville as Enrique Tarrio and three other Proud Boys have struck out: they were all convicted of Seditious Conspiracy, said to be the hardest crime the insurrectionists could have been charged with to get a conviction on.
This crime carries a maximum sentence of 20 years.
I suspect they will get the maximum because of all the evil he has perpetrated in his life. What do you think?

(31,923 posts)I don't know their past criminal history. That will play a big part in the sentence. Who is the "he" past the word evil? If it is not one of the defendants the "he" will play no role in sentencing.

The base offense level for violations 18 USC 2384 is 26 and there is a 2 level increase for the use of violence. Assuming offense level 28 is applicable, the guidelines call for 78-97 months for a convict has no criminal history, and 140-175 months for a convict in the most severe criminal history category.

I bet then end up around 10 years and we the peons are supposed to be happy But if they just accept a deal for 10 I would be happy, if they go to a judge or jury, they should get more !

Sometimes, while we are all excited to state our opinions. The informed commentary of other DUers is worth actually reading:
