And by "him" you know whom I'm talking about.

(115,669 posts)his ugly mug on the news for months or even years. I would prefer that he just goes the fuck away, however that can be accomplished, and I never have to hear, see, or think about him ever again.

(16,925 posts)So many more indictments coming down on him he'll think....... oh, hell, he doesn't 'think.'
I want AT LEAST 1 PERP WALK - cuffs and his hair all f-ed up because they hit him fast.
MANY, MANY hours on the stand lying his a$$ off as the entire courtroom AND country (if they can be televised) watches and laughs their asses off. Maybe even make a drinking game out of it - you know, like the old Newhart show where you took a shot every time somebody said, "Hi, Bob!" Here it could be with every lie he says - yeah, I know - we'd all be smashed after the first 15 minutes!
I want to see him STAND with that f-ed up posture (belly on the table and Depends showing through the tents he wears for pants) and hear what the juries will surely tell him - GUILTY!!!!!!!
I want to see the MAGA kingdom go NUTS when he's sent up the river. THAT is when we'll see all of the Republiqan rats scrambling for new cheese. Which 'former' supporter will be the first to come out with a new round of lies saying that they never liked him and were not 'happy' that he was a Republiqan (hello, I've got my bet on Sweet Lindsey!).
I want to see/hear the avalanche of Republiqans running away from him, 'claiming' they never liked the guy and he was not a 'true Republiqan.' Speaker McCarthy (if he's still Speaker) will be an interesting one to watch.
And yes, I want to see the day he's marched into his new home for the rest of his life - a federal penitentiary.
I'm not asking for much - but boy, would all of that be great!

Him dying doesn't turn him into martyr more than the trial would.
And, a dead martyr is at least silent.
ProfessorGAC
(64,990 posts)As much as I'd like to see him behind bars, any trial will become circus maximus.

(28,347 posts)I fear for our future, as well.
As you said:
Trump would be far easier to beat and is sadly less dangerous then DeSantis.
I like most of what everyone has posted in this thread.
But, I'd like to see TFG suffer. He's hurt so many people in his lifetime, the least he can do is suffer. Bigly.
I tell you what, I'm not looking forward to the future "loving" tributes the MAGA-cult will carry on once he dies. They'll be (or at least try) naming roads, schools, post offices, airports, etc after TFG. I hated it after Reagan passed.
About the only thing worthy to name after him would be:
The Donald J. Trump Federal Penitentiary

(6,078 posts)I would love for it to have a stroke. Leaving him unable to swallow, eat or drink by mouth, drooling, pissing and shitting in his adult briefs while enoying his diet coke and pureed hamberders via a G-tube poking through his abdomen.
Try leading an insurrection from your jazzy wheelchair, traitor.

(6,078 posts)Like they've made us and anyone who doesn't fit in their white, male dominated, christo-fascist mold suffer under their anti-democratic authoritarianism. Those types should ALL be in this condition, maybe just to find out about real compassion and empathy. You know, when they find out that most of their healthcare workers are liberal Democrats.
I know. They probably won't understand, even then.

(7,506 posts)Watching "A Small Light" the past few days just made me so angry for I've forgotten how many times about what was done to good people then. They were degraded, stolen from, left without hope and then murdered en masse. And then I remembered the evil creep wearing that Auschwitz shirt at the insurrection and know that we cannot let these present day fascists win. They are just as evil as the Nazis were then but haven't had the chance to reveal themselves. I hope he sufers in jail and don't care what anyone thinks about that.

(7,506 posts)I read up on Miep after the series ended and she always said that she just did what anybody would do. I doubt that but she definitely had the courage to do the right thing and the smarts to pull it off. What she and Jan did during the occupation was just remarkable and inspiring.

(31,809 posts)Then I want him to die. After he's found guilty.
Mr. Ected
(9,670 posts)Would be treated as political vengeance rather than justice by over 70 million Americans. There will be no come uppance. There will be no learn from our mistakes. There will be no resulting self-reflection. All we will see and hear, and hear loudly, is denial, anger and claims for revenge. MAGA will not be chastened; they will be fortified. An 'oppressed' people need a martyr. To them, he's not a person, he's a personification. If he is tried and found guilty, they will attack the Capitol in a metaphorical sense next time. They want to burn this mother down. That's their sole intention. And yet they're clueless on what they'll do once the government smoulders in te distance.
That being said, we need the cleansing rinse of a trial, of several trials, to prove the mettle of the nation. Are we truly a nation of laws or has that concept been forever tarnished by the whispers of MAGA? Just like with the 2 impeachments, the results could likely be highly disappointing to all of us; how difficult would it be for us to have to suffer again the consequence of villainy triumphing over truth and justice?
I think what we're about to embark upon may be one of the most difficult moments in our long history, and we are the lucky citizens entrusted to carry that mantel. Rough seas ahead, no doubt; time will tell whether the Founders' vision will be bolstered or whether it will require the administration of last rites.
