SOPA and the Green Bay Packers

Can any good DUers clue me in?

Lost in the dismal aftermath of the Packers collapse at the hands of the Giants on Sunday was the banner-towing aircraft circling Lambeau Field prior to gametime.

MARK MURPHY STOP SOPA it proclaimed, high above for all to see. Mark Murphy? He's the President of the Green Bay Packers, a former player with the Washington franchise and former President of the NFLPA.

But what influence does he have on SOPA? And who popped for the airplane and banner?

edited to note Murphy is a formerpresident of the NFLPA.

Facebook, Google, many other internet moguls. I don't discount grass roots movements, but having powerful allies on your side with money sure helps a lot too.

and is extraordinarily pissed. He's tweeting about how Obama's a puppet to silicon valley. Is that a real point of view? Like, come on. REALLY?!
