DENVER. (AP) Family members are waiting for answers about how a 66-year-old Colorado man's body went unnoticed in a locked movie theater restroom for about five days after he died there.
George DeGrazio, of Loveland, died of a heart attack on about Jan. 9, Larimer County Deputy Coroner James MacNaughton said Tuesday.
"It appears he was using the restroom facility and then fell over and died on the floor," MacNaughton said.
The body was found Jan. 14 after theater workers noticed an odor in the restroom and forced their way in, authorities said.

When did the outraged family notice him missing?

Without you, I'd never know what's going on.

(65,616 posts)long dump? I guess cleaning the bathroom daily was not part of their SOPs.

Even if you came back later and there was someone in there, you wouldn't necessarily assume that it was the same person who was in there last time.
My guess would be that when cleaning the bathroom, they don't kick people out of the stalls.
So, you wouldn't know if it was the same person the whole time.

(137 posts)Somehow seems to me you have to be alive to spend any time anywhere. How can it be said that you are, for example, passing the time anywhere when the concept of time in that sense seems to be exclusively related to 1) being alive and experiencing time and 2) the fact that life is finite, so time matters.
I would have said maybe -
Body lay for five days in theater restroom.
Body remained for five days in theater restroom.
Body remained unnoticed for five days in theater restroom.
Something like that?

(27,630 posts)Maybe it sounds slightly creepier, slightly more sensational to talk about a corpse spending time doing anything.
