Went to buy new Cooper tires, 8-10 week wait.

Anyone live near the Cooper plant? I heard from my brother in laws tire supplier that another plant is going on strike. Trying to buy American but don't know if I can wait ten weeks and can't have mix and match tires on our car.

tentative deal today.
Cooper in Findlay is currently running production with scab labor. I wouldn't trust any tire they make.
The workers in Findlay are not on strike. They have been locked out by management for not accepting a take it or leave it deal. They were willing to stay on the job until a new deal could be made.

Look for "pre-owned" Coopers. Not saying you'll find anything worth
buying, and it might not make sense if you live in the middle of nowhere
(without a lot of bone yards nearby), but start online and see what you
can come up with.

Right now, until the company gets their own house in order and
everyone on the same page, it might be a better alternative than
getting the scab-made tires.
