Are We Really Lucky Enough To Get Gingrich As An Opponent?

It's going to be wonderful beating his portly, pompous, race baiting, hypocrtical, self important, and smarmy ass.

What is that smell?

It's the smell of self immolating Republicans.

Meow.

to a burnt-to-a-crisp angry attack muffin!

I'm as far as I can be from being a fan of Peggy Noonan but she came up with a description of Newt Gingrich for the ages!

if it's Gingrich, remember that they're trying to say:

1. "It's the liberal media." (um, the last spin was "It was Romney's SuperPACs&quot

2. "It's old news."

3. "She's lying. My friends will testify that they never heard me say I wanted an open marriage." (Of course, as a caller to the Stephanie Miller Show pointed out, you always tell your wife you want an open marriage in front of witnesses)

4. No I don't want him to get the nomination. It is too big of a risk. I think Obama would

crush him but on the off-chance that the economy sours a little toward November and something goes wrong for Obama we just cannot afford the risk. I am not a fan of Romney at all and I think Obama will easily beat him as well but if not, well - he would not be as bad as Newt.

8. Yep. A brokered convention

Most of the delegates are awarded proportionately, so it is a very distinct possibility that nobody wins an outright majority and the convention picks a "darkhorse" candidate. There is no way Paul is dropping out and Gingrich can hang on as the Romney alternative, and of Romney could easily lead to nobody winning a majority. And the way they are just beating the snot out of each other, it may leave the all the candidates fatally weakened.

Republican are VERY good at stealing victories at the last moment.

To have him win the nomination is too much to ask for.
