I have zero problem listening to both sides of issues that are debatable.
Humans define evidence differently and pick and choose data points that they think best supports their viewpoints and discredits the next guy's.
However, there are topics for me that are not debatable, for instance, I no longer believe the earth is 6,000 years old, I also no longer believe that Kangaroos swam 10,000 miles to keep from drowning in the great flood and I will be damned if I am going to listen to Magats trying to convince me otherwise. Get my point?
I only scan reich wing headlines on my home page so I have an understanding where the fascists are coming from. Once in a blue moon I force myself to click on the article and I usually have a good laugh.

(16,002 posts)to be listened to over and over again. Sometimes it is TOTALLY REASONABLE not to listen to people who don't agree with you -- because sometimes they are wrong, have been wrong, and will continue to be wrong because they are simply repeating their nonsense.

You can't listen to both sides when one side is pure propaganda.
