comments from 20 somethings at my UU church this morning....

although its an older crowd we do have some young families and single adults. they all seemed happy with Biden quitting, for various reasons, mainly cuz of his age and the passing the torch thing. tho they'd vote for Joe they are more excited to vote for Kamala. It was a tad disheartening to see how gleeful several of them were I must say.

hope this switch up will excite youngers nationwide

He was having a real challenge with Biden, and yes, he feels much better, excited and .... dare I say, hopeful

I texted my 93 year old mother to tell her Biden had dropped out and she texted back, “thank God”. I never expected that from her. She a huge democrat and was a big Biden supporter.

She is a big any Democrat supporter. Worked both Obama elections in Florida and for Hillary. She was actually going to hear Jill Biden in beginning of March when it was called off because of Covid. She had decided to leave the hard work to the youngsters but at the last minute changed her mind. But then came Covid.

She has a wonderful picture of herself and Joe during 2012 campaign.

Looks like it was canceled.
I haven’t been to a UU service in a few months. My wife goes and is on the Board and didn’t mention anything.
I’m sure the younger folks are excited.

very enthusiastic about Kamala.

I’m 67 and I’m excited now, too, as are my other old friends in my text thread and my family group text thread (all ages in that.)

We are all D’s but we were all pretty much resigned to the fact Joe was going to lose. Now, everyone is excited. We’ve all been pretty much disengaged for the last few months.
