Set the people against each other. Divide us into squabbling categories and ignore the main source of our troubles.
The oiligarchy loves it. Racism and sexism are real, and are used by Vance's "ruling class".

Focus on the theft of our labor, wealth and freedom by the 0.1%, and use that to make allies.
