Humans -ARE BY FAR- the Dominant Cause of Global Warming: A Comprehensive Review of the Science

Skeptical Science reviews the scientific literature, which shows humans are the dominant cause of global warming.
by Dana Nuccitelli

At Skeptical Science, we have several recent studies which have used a number of diverse approaches to tease out the contributions of various natural and human effects to global warming. Here we will review the results of these various studies, and a few others which we have not previously examined, to see what the scientific literature and data have to say about exactly what is causing global warming.

All of these studies, using a wide range of independent methods, provide multiple lines of evidence that humans are the dominant cause of global warming over the past century, and especially over the past 50 to 65 years (Figure 1).

And I can't imagine there being much debate over the science.

Is this 'debate' another hobby horse of the religious right?

You're dealing with a party that still debates the merits of evolutionary science, where a sizable percentage literally believe the Earth is 6,000 years old, and God put dinosaur bones in the ground just to screw with us.

But now a lot of believers are saying no, Jesus loved dinosaurs, sometimes cradling their young in his loving arms. People used triceratops like oxen, to plow the fields.

In any case, the science is all wrong. The bible proves it.

Humans are responsible for more than 100% of global surface warming? I thought the maximum someone could be responsible for something would be 100%.

Therefore any warming is more than 100% caused by humans. This graph is pop science at best. It would never be allowed in any peer reviewed journal. It does not contain any range of error or where the mean or median is.
