CANTOR (peeing his pants) Tells GOP: - Wrap up 2012 GOP race quickly

“I just think the more we can coalesce around a single vision with a nominee, I think the more straightforward the choice is going to be for the electorate,” Cantor said in a hotel suite at the Marriott Baltimore Waterfront. “With the issues that need to be decided by this election, I think it behooves us all as a country to have sort of the choice laid out as early as possible so we can begin in earnest a discussion about the issues.”

"I think it behooves us all as a country to have sort of the choice laid out as early as possible." I take that gibberish to mean that you'd like the Republicans to settle on a nominee sooner rather than later, but your preferences really aren't shared by the country in its entirety. Some of us are having rather a giggle at your party's expense for all its flailing about.

It does behoove me, however to point out to you Mr. Cantor that you have had an entire year to initiate "in earnest a discussion about the issues." Instead, you've been pettifogging, obfuscating, obstructing, and reading parts of the Constitution out loud. When Democrats have stood up in the House to do a little earnest discussing, your lackeys have been gaveling the proceedings to a close, and refusing to recognize your colleagues or let them speak.

So how's about you have a nice, steaming cup of shut the fuck up?

He's not stupid: he knows how much a protracted battle between the candidates will hurt the GOP (thus helping the country). Lucky for us that the candidates and their campaigns will ignore him.

the radio in his stronghold (Richmond) is filled with pro-TeaBagging hosts. He wants to end the discussion because he fears a challenge in the primaries and a TeaBag third party candidate in the election.
