In the Jan. 13 issue, Andrew Adler penned a piece devoted to preserving Israeli influence in the Middle East. Adler laid out three possible scenarios that he said would be effective -- one of which was that Israeli agents within the United States could "take out a president deemed unfriendly to Israel."
That, according to Adler, would force the "current vice president to take his place, and forcefully dictate that the United States' policy includes its helping the Jewish state obliterate its enemies."

His focus, however, was the third, which he spent the rest of the article justifying. "Yes, you read "three" correctly. Order a hit on a president in order to preserve Israel's existence." Approaching from a different angle, he also asked readers, "How far would you go to save a nation comprised of seven million lives . . .Jews, Christians and Arabs alike?"
Assassinate a US President in order to "preserve Israel's existence"?

If you don't know, a Jewish settler assassinated the Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in 1995 because he signed the Oslo Peace Accords with the Palestinians. The assassin, Yigal Amir, consulted with several rabbis who gave their blessing to his murder of their country's PM because, and this may ring a bell, they viewed the peace accords as an "existential threat" to Israel. Amir remains a very popular figure among some hardcore right-wing Israelis to this day.
