coaching was his life and his identity.

When that all got taken away, I think he lost his will to live.

that mental distress and losing your main purpose in life isn't going to help you fight an illness.

if it was there all along, who knows if stress accelerated the disease.

Mental health has a huge impact on illness.

Plus, as I noted above, if his identity was so closely linked with his coaching, losing his job may have caused him to lose his will to live. Maybe he just gave up.

Really?

He had 85 years on this planet the majority of which doing something he loved.

I don't find anything "sad" about him being caught enabling a sexual predator...but that's just me.
