"Inside every one us, there exists a dark side. Most people rise above it, but some are consumed by it. Until there is nothing left, but pure evil."
Creepy, huh? I can't help but wonder, how does that person interpret violence in movies. Or what does it mean for him to kill an adversary in a video game.

(3,333 posts)Liberals believe that inside, all people are basically good.
Conservatives believe that inside, all people are basically evil.
Bottom line, conservatives go about in fear of everybody else.

(13,390 posts)We talk about the culture of violence, but we aren't talking about the culture of fear.
I don't believe all people are basically good or basically bad. I believe there are people who may operate with "bad" intentions, but most people don't.

(4,226 posts)closer to the middle believe that there is both in all of us. The percentages vary in each person and can change from moment to moment. These changes can occur more drastically in relative short period, more so in others. Some people are inherently good and some are inherently evil. We simply have caution and are aware of this truth. In my travels through life I have come across people that would surely kill you without remorse. To not fear and be cautious (avoid at all costs) those people is a lie or you are a fool.

That REALLY hits at the gut level difference between liberals and conservatives.
Liberals believe that inside, all people are basically good.
Conservatives believe that inside, all people are basically evil.
Bottom line, conservatives go about in fear of everybody else.
"Why does it continue to be so difficult to believe some people are just fucking evil.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Broken, inhuman, sadistic pieces of shit.
You don't need to be on Prozac to be a piece of shit.
History is full of mans inhumanity towards man long before modern pharmaceuticals."
