Do PACs get charged credit card fees when I donate?

Just wondering. Could I bankrupt a PAC by making a lot of stupidly small donations to them that don't cover the costs of interchange fees? I remember that I did this at a job I had with an employee discount to annoy a boss.

There's usually a smallish percentage fee, about 1.5 to 5%, and very often an online gateway per-transaction flat fee from 25 to 50 cents. You'd probably have to make a lot of donations under 50 cents to have any chance of being an appreciable cost.

At least he'd get to claim that 25% of his donations were $50 or less.
