Why do Republicans get the "common sense" credit on foreign policy?

Herman Cain didn't know that China has nukes or that Africa wasn't a country. Sarah Palin could see Russia from her house. Rick Perry didn't know that Turkey has been a longtime member of NATO and has fought with great courage in numerous American-led wars.

Why the hell does the media always say "the Democrats know the economy but only the Republicans can keep us safe?" Safe from fucking what? China getting its first nuke?

4. Huh? Nixon pulled out of Vietnam, not a Democrat.

LBJ was quite fierce is his prosecution of that immoral war against Vietnam, and many Democrats ardently championed it. Nixon went down as the man who pulled out of Vietnam, went to China, and launched detente era with the Soviets.
