Wisconsin: Could someone mount a primary challenge to Walker before the recall election?

http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/local/ask/just-ask-us/just-ask-us-could-someone-mount-a-primary-challenge-to/article_a80801ec-4304-11e1-8918-0019bb2963f4.html

Short answer is yes.

..snip..

If there are enough valid signatures the board will order an election, at which point the incumbent's name will automatically be placed on the ballot unless he or she resigns within 10 days of the order, Magney said.

Once the election is ordered anyone can run for the office. If a Republican chooses to run against any of the incumbents, or if more than one Democrat runs, there would be a primary, Magney said. Those primaries would be held on the same day.

..end..

Maybe the Dems should run a "fake" Republican, forcing Walker to spend resources before the real election.

Remember last year when the R's ran fake D's in the recall primaries.

I want to see a real republican run against walker. That will keep the republican voters busy with their own primary so they don't eff up ours.

the real Republican could win over Walker and give the Democrat a real run for his/her money. I'd rather our candidate go head to head with Walker.
