Breaking: Clamor about the "deal" on DU causes House to delay vote!

According to an unnamed source at Foggy Bottom: "the ruckus on that site has echoed inside the beltway.
Representatives on both sides of the aisle are confused whether they won the deal. Both sides of the aisle have said
'We kicked their asses.' Reps want to have time to read through the many posts on that board to try to figure out
how they should vote."

And here I thought this site was a true underground site. Any increase in revenue is great. Unemployment is extended. How many people will that feed and shelter? The AMT is indexed permanently. Whew! There is great history on the AMT relating back to the 60's. What continues to get me is the fact that the GOP let all of this revenue give away without appropriate cuts. BUT, the BIG item is the GOP letting defense appropriations to go off budget for so long. AND then Medicare Part D was passed WITHOUT a revenue source and no ability to negotiate prices. AND the republicans call themselves the party of business. To me the policy, public stance, of the GOP is one that goes back to the 1850s, Know Nothings.

we shouldn't ever talk about anything on here. That or turn the entire site into Meta. *shudder* I'm still waiting to see the final legislation before I decide if I like it or not, but I'm a tentative yes.

Happy new year to you too!

and prove you won. Get what progressives want to see. Fight for the working class people. Don't they realize if they drop the ball by giving in to the republicans again and again we will stay home. Period. Protect our safety net and raise the taxes on the wealthy. Do those 2 things. We will have your back. Don't do it you will lose the mid elections. Why bother voting if you don't stand up for us.
