"The safety net remains intact and taxes have gone up on rich"

...make the big picture even sweeter. The best things about going over the cliff were the defense cuts and the expiration of the full tax cuts on the rich. The worst things were the spending cuts to social programs.

This deal allows the majority of the tax cuts on the rich to expire, preserves the safety net, delivers more relief to low-income and unemployed Americans and doesn't cut spending.

Nothing will change until the MIC is cut for real.

America needs to be rebuilt and until it does we will contine to spiral downward.

. . . put the focus squarely on the elephant in the room. I'd think, as well, that any shakedown of the bloated Pentagon will require a shedding of the remnants of the Bush brigade of Military Industrial Warriors still in place in the leadership.
