Bob Cusack of the Hill just said the House is amending the bill (Original Post) octoberlib Jan 2013 OP
Quelle surprise. There was no way the House teabaggers would accept it as is. The Velveteen Ocelot Jan 2013 #1
I'd laugh if the Senate revoked the amendments and sent them back the exact same bill. Chan790 Jan 2013 #2

"They're putting in more spending cuts."

There are no spending cuts in the bill. They can amend away, but this bill expires in two days, when the new Congress convenes.

Dems probably won't vote for them. So if a few Repubs realize this would totally gum up the works, maybe they'll get a clean bill.

While this will screw a lot of people and the stock market will take dive tomorrow let the tax increase be on the Repucks head. No deal means the cuts to the war department take effect. I would not like to see the mess but America needs to know what A holes the House Repucks are. Everybody will be hurt and the Repuck party will be DEAD.

No way something so bi-artisan from the Senate will get past Boehner.

it is what reporters have been saying all along.....any amended bill will not pass the Senate....Boehner and Republicans just digging themselves further into the ground

I hope the repukes delay everything long enough to pass it on to the new Congress...14 of the TPer extremists will be gone
