2. america is about to see the true face of the teabagging republicans
Tue Jan 1, 2013, 05:28 PM

I think it's already begun, judging by comments my Mother in Law has made in just the past hour.....And I really must commend the teabaglicans for their thoughtfulness,in hammering home the facts that they are morally bankrupt, devoid of any real character or integrity and are corrupt, bought and paid for,to the folks left, who just can't grasp reality......Like my Mother in Law...

This woman, all too glad to blame the Prez for everything from hangnails to the debt crisis, and loathe to consider that the thugs hold any blame,at all,for anything, now is saying,in essence, that what the thugs are doing,HAVE been doing all along, must border on criminal.....I've been trying to get her to see the light for many years, with little lasting success.....Now,in the space of a few short hours, she's telling me it looks like I was right, all along.....This from a lifelong rethuglican voter....Thank you so much, shit stains....I really appreciate the help.....Really!!....This will spread,at least in her little bubble world....She owns/runs a beauty salon that caters to the "blue hairs",who all tell each other what to think, fauz snooze style....Now you turds find it necessary to drill the reality of your thieving, lying idiocy into these bluehairs stream of consciousness......It is,for me,a life long Dem,manna from heaven....

I keep seeing comments about this thing,or that being turning points...While I always hope that is true,I really didn't see it....But this!!....I see THIS!!!....I see this as a turning point!!..Thank you no good bastards from the bottom of my heart!!!

9. It's my Mother in Law
Tue Jan 1, 2013, 07:18 PM
Jan 2013

I can't guarantee she won't go right back to voting wrong, when it rolls around again....But in this moment, today, she swears she won't.....I've been trying to get through to her for years....It's been much like a 2 step forward,1 reverse,1 forward,2 reverse kind of deal.....

All you can do is keep at it....I learned long ago, when showing her the light,to not do it TOO passionately because she retreats to her bubble world.....It seems to work best with her, when I make something of an incomplete remark,in hopes she will follow that path of reason and come to the correct conclusion,on her own.....Sometimes it works, sometimes not...

But this revelation she had today, was 100% all on her,no help from me....And that was my point..That the thuglicans are shoving their REAL nature down the throats of those who general support their asshatiness, and that those folks are now coming around to reality on their own....Ya know?.....Sometimes enough bullshit,is just that....Enough bullshit,to where it becomes a tipping point....

I thought she was mostly a lost cause, and now this....I know this will sound callous and insensitive, but in my personal experience these people like my Mother in Law are elderly, and in the coming few years will become more rare....I hope....They are a dying breed......

whine that the POTUS can't negotiate.

THIS is how you have to deal with Congressional Terrorists. If the people keep voting them in, you figure out how to show them why that's a bad idea.

They've pared the "big deal" down to simple tax increases and credits.

The Senate was nearly unanimous and as bipartisan as it will get in approving it.

There are no excuses remaining for the Teabag house. If they reject it, even a fair number of low-information voters will understand why. The MSM can't help obscure this to protect Boehner, Cantor and the rest of their ilk.

10. The "Givers" Vs. "Takers"...
Tue Jan 1, 2013, 07:25 PM
Jan 2013

...that's what this mess is boiling down to. The unhinged have been indoctrinated that the government takes their money and gives it to "minorities" and "deadbeats" et al and that if taxes are raised that means more of their money will go to the "takers". It's so drummed into the right wing memes that we see how rushpublicans are paralyzed when it comes to any talk about raising taxes. It's as though you're robbing them...without taking into consideration that a vast majority of them have been used by the party elite...working against their own best interests. They still live in the "Raygun trickle down" world where if the rich are happy they'll throw scraps at the rest of us. We know that's not how "trickle down" worked...it ended up dribbling on most of us.
