attack one of the amendments in the Bill of Rights anytime now. They may not be gun lovers or support the 2A expansions and shit... but they're sure not stupid enough to attack the Bill of Rights. LOL.

Prediction, they'll keep quiet for the most part. Maybe issue a statement or two at most - after all, talk is cheap.

10. I was an ACLU member for decades stopping only when it opposed SCOTUS on the Second Amendment.

ACLU position on DC v Heller for one simple reason, ACLU ignores the constitutions of PA(1776) & VT(1777) that acknowledged RKBA for self-defense as one of the "natural, inherent, and inalienable/unalienable rights" that SCOTUS acknowledged in UNITED STATES v. CRUIKSHANK (1876) pre-existed our Constitution and the First, Second, and Fourth did not depend upon it.

The Right to Keep and Bear Arms for self-defense a civil right under federal law.

ACLU claims "The ACLU is our nation's guardian of liberty, working daily in courts, legislatures and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties that the Constitution and laws of the United States guarantee everyone in this country."

What it really means is ACLU guards some of those civil rights but not RKBA.

I own firearms and am also a member of the ACLU. While I disagree with the ACLU on the 2nd, they are not active in the 2nd amendment debate. They have decided to stay neutral on the debate about guns.

Did ACLU’s adviser Bob Barr convince ACLU to stay on the sidelines in D.C. v. Heller?

ACLU and Bob Barr http://www.aclu.org/technology-and-liberty/aclu-announces-collaboration-rep-bob-barr-says-conservative-congressman-will-

Seems almost like ACLU wants to hide its association with Barr who is a Republican.

15. The ACLU has 10 directors making over a quarter of a million dollars apiece. I'm sick of that shit.

Executive director Romero makes 400k dollars. I was a member for a long time until I discovered how much they are spending on themselves. My $150 just isn't as important as they are, so I give to local groups. I give to the NYCLU now, at least the 2 paid directors each make less than 200k and the NYCLU does plenty of good work.

This fostering of income and wealth inequality is disgustingly prevalent in the non-profit world. National Food Banks are another example of this crap. The Feeding America CEO makes over 1/2 million dollars. Again, give directly to your local Food Pantry.

I turn.

True I split with ACLU over their opposition to RKBA but now you hit me with facts they're lead by more money-grabbers.

In the meantime voters allow themselves to be divided and polarized over a handful of divisive, polarizing issues while corporatists finance candidates from both parties and activist groups on both sides of those issues.

Damn, it really does look like Lincoln's dream of a People's government is doomed to perish.

What will remain?
