Ageism is the new Repuke meme.

Two of these guys tonight have knocked the Senate as being too old to know what they are doing. One said something like ' sleep deprived octogenerians" the other said essentially the same thins...bleary eyed old people... fuck these assholes. I've lived long enough to know what crazy, demented looks like and with my old bleary eyed eyes I see the republican congress.

Maybe at my advanced age I'm reading too much into these statements but did anyone else pick up on this? This was in the last hour on MSNBC.

I can't believe the crap coming from republicans this afternoon. I would love to hear a few senators interviewed about this ridiculous name calling and commentary on the Senate's proposal.

Where can I find the exact quote and who said this? I cannot find it mentioned anywhere, except on DU, which has a good track record on calling out ageism.

in their single-minded desire to say no to the President.

And he knows it.

they are trying to break their own record, the last group of people who loyally support the Party. The Senior vote. I would love to see what their amended spending cuts would be...the CPI idea the Senate GOP dropped like a hot potato because of the Optics of chewing up SS benefits just to protect the wealthy...it's a self inflicted wound.

they would have alienated every demographic possible.

They got the "old", now the "white" and "male" are left ... or should I say "remain"?
