The 27 republicans who will not be returning will vote for it, along with a strong majority of Democrats. No returning Repubs will vote for it.
If it doesn't pass because it doesn't get quite enough support among Democrats, then the Repubs will try to blame the Democrats.

(3,596 posts)Most of them are knuckle-dragging ideologues. Since gerry-mandering has made so many seats safe for the incumbent or incumbent party, I doubt the returning pukes will be inclined to vote for it either. Remember that if they are in a "safe" GOP district, their only threat is from a tea bagger primary challenge. They will tow the Grover Norquist line.
I hope I am wrong, for the country's sake. But I don't have a lot of hope.
