Republican Senator: We’ll Shut Down The Government If Democrats Don’t Cut Medicare Benefits

The Dem. response should be, "Go right ahead."

TOOMEY: We Republicans need to be willing to tolerate a temporary, partial government shutdown, which is what that could mean. And get off the road to Greece because that’s a road that we’re on right now. We can only solve this problem by getting spending under control and restructuring the entitlement programs. This president doesn’t want to go there. We’re going to have to force it, and we’re going to have to force it over the debt ceiling.

P.S. Just found out 'negativer' is a real word. German, but real. Learn something new every single day as long as you aren't a Republican.

I'm from Pennsylvania. This asshole got into office, because voters sat out the 2010 elections. This is what you get when you don't vote. God forbid, we sit back again in 2014.

"why don't we extend the solvency of these programs again by removing the cap on the social security tax?"

extending solvency does NOT have to come solely from cutting benefits. in fact, little if any cuts should be on that side of the equation.
