Star Goalie Snubs White House - Boston Player Refuses To Attend Ceremony

Wow, I used to like TT. Guess he's been hit in the head with a few too many pucks.

"Opposed to what he called the "out of control" growth of the federal government, Boston Bruins goalie Tim Thomas declined an invitation to join his teammates at the White House on Monday."

Thomas is a Republican and has stated that the person he would most like to have dinner with is conservative TV pundit Glenn Beck

If I was on a championship team, I would view meeting with ANY US president as an honor to the team and organization. I really like Thomas' goal-keeping skills, but other than that, he sounds like an egomaniac (it's all about him, apparently).

Oh yeah, and one last thing - go CANUCKS!

Well, not me...but someone else on that team who has a sense of pride and curiosity.

Heck, if it's so important, his belief in 'out of control growth'
he should go and talk to our President about it.
Maybe he thinks we are still under GW's rules.

Do you feel that out of control government spending paid your overinflated salary?
