Remember all that stuff that you DIDN'T like from the President tonight?

The list is quite hefty from around these parts…

I have a question for all of you: Do you REALLY think that this Republican Congress is going to drop their trademarked opposition against ANYTHING President Obama has ever requested and give in to all of your fears tonight by shaking his hand and giving him everything on his laundry list?

I can see them all, Republican Congress Critters and the President, singing Kumbaya around the White House conference table, can't you?

I hope that you get my point…

So, I know that it makes great theater to wail and gnash a few teeth, it's SOP around these parts. But I'll bet you dollars to donuts that the reality will be quite different in Washington. Things will not be as bad as they look. In some ways things will be worse, in others they'll be better.

But rather than panic, I'm offering a couple of solutions to your problems:

One - Elect more progressives into Congress and more right wingers OUT!

Two - Continue to take to the streets and make your voices heard by all.

Sure, it's pretty easy to sit around and complain that bad ideas are being offered. However, by showing the strength of will to offer progressive solutions with the strength of numbers is a much better way to solve these problems.

If you're a DUer, be a DOER!
