A Lot Of Talk Today About The Repugs Having To Rebrand Their Party Or Go Extinct.....

Colin Powell went off on the Repugs this past weekend. Chris Christie went off on the a few weeks ago. I heard that John Boehner is getting the party together in Williamsburg, VA to most likely talk about this issue.

Sure the Repugs have to change - BUT - if they do come to some sort of revelation and re-brand - and say they are making the changes that they need to - MY QUESTION IS HOW CAN WE TRUST THEM?

What if they just pay lip service to the change and the American People buy into it and elect them - what's to prevent them from going back to their old ways? What's to prevent them from deceiving the American People? What's to prevent the Frank Luntz's of the world to come up with some fancy new packaging and buzz words to put on the package - but leave the same old product in the package?

We get barraged every day with all kinds of ads for all kinds of products. We buy those products and find out they aren't anything like what we were told they were in the ads.

Can the Repug ideology be changed or is it so engrained in those that call themselves Repugs that change will not occur? Now that we have seen the real Repug party - the clown car that were their candidates in the primaries. Their chosen candidates including Rmoney and his running mate with all their blemishes and baggage. The war against women, poor, hungry. Their allegiance to the rich, the banksters and the corporations. How can the American People believe anything they say?

They are not good at the re-branding. Plus image and 'branding' are not their problem, they are their problem, their ideas and their words. It is not possible to dress up Todd Akin and Eric Cantor and rehearse them into likeability, it that were possible it would already have been done. Take a look at Mitt, if you can stand it. Millions spent to 're-brand' him and what do you get? Binders full of women, 47%, a 10 thousand dollar bet and snarky comments about poor people cookies. Millions he spent to learn how to relate, to brand himself and his family as affable and regular. What did they get? Failure, people call her Queen Ann and not First Lady.

The only real way out for the few sane Republicans would be to form a new party (no, do NOT join the Democratic party) and leave the pieces to the tea party.

Excerpt from William S. Burroughs' Dinosaurs.

"Son, it's the end of the line. We are ugly, idiot, bellowing beasts. Some of us are sixty feet long with a brain the size of a walnut. Where can this end? In a natural history museum our bones gawked at by pimply adolescents--"Say, I wonder how big his prick was?"

Rethuglicans remind me of those ugly, idiot bellowing beasts.
