she said the NRA ad is o.k. because politicians "use" their kids all the time.
Her examples were:
Video of Clintons holding Chelsea's hand walking to the helicopter after the Lewinsky affair. (WTF?!)
Photo of President on the couch with his girls watching Michelle speak at the convention.
She actually compared these to the NRA's repulsive ad.
CNN seems to think if they spray her with enough phoney FeBreeze we won't smell the stench of her RW core. I can't stand her.

(51 posts)Of course, they're all bootlickers in the main stream media,in their own little way. They have to look good, but not actually say anything.Of course that is their greatest talent and what they get paid to do by their corporate masters, but when enough people don't have jobs, houses,or food, they won't give a crap how good of a show these elitist puppets are presenting anyway. Many already don't think very much of it.

(2,770 posts)and yet it is accepted as 'journalism'.
That's because "both parties do it", and "both parties are the same."
I know that's true because I heard it on FOX-News - or read it on DU - well, one or the other. Getting hard to tell the difference between the two.

(12,008 posts)I mean, I agree that his old shows seem to have been really good, but by the time I was paying attention (I was born in the 70's), he was a pretty crazy old man.
I so clearly remember watching back-to-back his interview with Jiang Zemin, unedited, and as CBS presented it. He/CBS might as well have been the propaganda arm of US government and industry with the hatchet job they carried out.

(15,189 posts)These news stations would do better to hire average people who prove themselves worthy and pay them half of what these bimbo's get. As they get ratings, and improve, they get a raise.
How many more years do we have to put up with Andrea Greenspan on MSNBC. Doesn't she also have enough money to last her 20 lives over. They need new blood every few years, and they are missing out and we are missing out.

(12,008 posts)I don't know who this person you mentioned is, but I know they're a lost cause, simply because they are on CNN. Did you turn it on, mistakenly thinking that it might contain news? It hasn't done that in over a decade. You're better off just ignoring it.

(1,638 posts)Chances are, if news is on TV, it's going to be horrible, with ignorant people who've been hired by other ignorant people saying nonsense in a serious way, expecting others to take it as the truth while being too lazy to actually research what's happening.

(32,681 posts)person worth watching on CNN, but her show comes on really early! I've never seen Erin cover any topic with any credibility, and on top of that, she's boring as hell, so I've never watched more than a couple of minutes at a time (usually due to being too busy with other tasks). Piers' recent debates with gun morons has been interesting too, but he's a tool on most other issues.

Breaking news: CNN'S Erin Burnett is a married woman!
The 36-year-old anchor married David Rubulotta, 42, a managing director at Citigroup, in a ceremony at City Hall on Friday that was officiated by a Justice of the Peace.

CNN also took money from Bahrain to say "everything is fine" regarding the situation there, while it is NOT. Amber Lyon called them out. Bet you haven't heard about this on CNN.
