Gasoline is a "top export" in dollar value. The only reason the USA exports the amount of gasoline it does? US consumption has declined by 3-4 million barrels a day from peak. Domestic production has increased. The USA has refining capacity that Canada and Mexico don't. That "exported" gasoline comes from oil that was imported in the first place and only processed in the US.
