Why is everyone up in arms

Why are so many people angry about this whole Lance Armstrong thing or the Manti Te'o thing, when there are people like Micheal Vick (A Murder, a Sociopath and most likely a criminal in other areas as well) or Ben Roethlisberger (A rapist) are playing at the highest level and not getting scrutinized at all anymore? I know there is a huge backlash against Vick, such as groups donating money every time he gets sacked or even I'm sure some players making an effort to hurt him, but these people are some of the worst people in the world and the Media ignores them and ESPN and other sports people idolize them. Yes Armstrong is a lier and took money when he knew he was cheating and we don't know really anything about the Te'o situation yet but people are saying this could ruin his NFL career, but they didn't kill any real person, or scar anyone for life. I don't know this is just pissing me off the last couple days especially because Vick in number 2 on my list of people to put in a deep deep dungeon when I take over the world. (Rush is number 1 on that list).

his lie. He sued many people into oblivion for "lying", when they were not. He ruined careers, blackballed people, left a wake of destruction behind him.

I would still not put him in the category of a murder or a rapist.

I see a lot of people claiming that without anything to back it up...as far as I know, Lance never went after anyone first...it was people like Hamilton who started going after him...can't blame a guy for fighting back.

4. It should not make a difference if you care about sports figures or not

It should still make you sick what Vick or Roethlisberger did.

5. Sure--but what I mean is, they're not heroes or anyone to emulate.

Nobody should be "let down" by them. I'm as disappointed by lowlifes like Vick as I am disappointed by lowlifes like Lindsay Lohan or Charlie Sheen. None of them matter.

I think the point is that why have they, as popular sports figures, gotten to move on to more acclaim and hero worship after doing such horrific harm? Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen pretty much need to stay off the booze and drugs IMO, but they didn't torture poor dogs to death or rape anyone, that I know of anyway. And Lance Armstrong is pretty much a con-man asking for forgiveness while the Linebacker at Notre Dame is probably in the "young and dumb" category. Sadistically torturing animals and a possible rape should have done the most professional damage by far, but that is proving to not be the case.

question. He paid for his mistakes.

As for Raplisberger, he should have been prosecuted.
