What state is sane?

I just read the thread about the killing of the 4 eagles and started thinking about where in the US a person could move so as to not be surrounded daily by ???? (don't know what to call them without resorting to nasty words).
I'm in a very small county in Indiana, so of course I stay isolated from the right wing kooks that run this state (but sadly they have invaded this county and are in the process of ruining life here). Then I think about each of the other states and I cannot come up with one state where a person can feel free from these types of people. Can you?
