I feel as if we've fought a long, horrifying and valiant battle. Think of it! As much as we might feel hounded by the Right Wing, we've had a year filled with the ascension of those who believe in human rights and are going to continue to work for us all.
When you're feeling low, remember. The road is long, the pace is slow, but we are travelling with great souls.
Happy Second Term. We, the People, have spoken.

Ah, tradition.

(3,709 posts)I believe we should reflect on how we would be feeing about the future of our nation if he had not won. I know I would be feeling great remorse today.
Our president is not perfect, but he is a decent man, who cares about people. We may not agree with everything he does, but we need to be thankful that he is there to protect us.
The alternative is unconscionable...
