Who Says The NRA Hates Regulation? Look at the Laws It Likes! -Alternet - (a not-so magnificent 7)

http://www.alternet.org/speakeasy/martharosenberg/who-says-nra-hates-regulation-look-laws-it-likes

The gun lobby's Tiahrt Amendment restricts law enforcement officials from fully accessing and using Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) gun trace data. Clerks at the ATF literally write records by hand, circa 1950, because the gun lobby says an automated database would "pose a threat to the Second Amendment." Let's get those bad guys.

Criminal trafickers in guns have no greater ally than the National Rifle Association: The NRA does everything it possibly can to put guns in the hands of criminals, and keep them well armed.

I really think Wayne needs to resign. I am working on a petition to put on the net for NRA members ONLY to sign to call for his resignation.

He is a liability and an embarrassment.

He's not even a gun owner, and he's generally pretty well informed, but his attitude on gun control is that all we need to do is enforce the laws now on the books. I supplied a few facts the other day,but he just looked bored . This piece should do the trick!

Thanks for posting it.

http://www.vice.com/read/the-most-hilariously-paranoid-things-you-can-buy-on-the-nra-website

“Oh, hello there, Mr. Threat To My Person. You want to assault me? Let me check my schedule—BLAM! You’re dead now, because I had a gun in my day planner! And my wife said that this thing was a waste of 40 bucks! I can’t wait to see the expression on her face while she cleans the blood off my shoes!”

Let’s say you’re drinking out of your flask in the usual places—the movie theater, car, your nephew’s bar mitzvah, wherever—you probably don’t want to get hassled by some uppity usher/state patrolman/rabbi, right? You want to own a flask that says not only are you getting drunk in public, you also might have a gun on you, possibly in your day planner.
