Just caught a glimpse of Merlie Evers

on C-Span and she looks wonderful!! I am so glad she is getting recognized. She is one of my she-roes for her strength, dignity, intelligence and leadership. This is such a wonderful day!

Their house was bombed, her husband took a bullet and sacrificed himself for the cause, and she took on the mantle of fighting for fairness, and can now proudly stand there on that stage with the fruit of their efforts!
