Man w/ mental illness chases wife w/machette-threatens to kill man-stabs dog...buys assault rifle

Wait...it gets better... he stabbed his friend more than 40 times and chopped him up and stashed parts all over the state.

But, the point I'm trying to make, is that this guy was allowed to buy an assault rifle.

So, just to make sure we understand Georgia's gun laws:

If you have a history of mental illness
If you have chased your wife with a machette threatening to kill her.
If you have threatened to kill people with a handgun.
If you have stabbed a dog with a knife because it annoyed you.
If the police come to your house 3 or 4 times a year.
If you stab your neighbor 40 times
and chop off his head,
and his hands,
and then dismember him and drive the parts across the state to put them in storage...

You can buy an assault weapon in Georgia.

Because your rights to own a gun are more important than the rights of your wife, your neighbors, that poor dog, the police and your community to feel safe.

I don't know about you all, but I'm tired of the Industrial War Machine arming the nutjobs of the United States just so they can keep their profit margins up.

I already decided that after Troy Davis. But what a stupid state. Really. Appalling.
