So Mitt gives $$ to his church, who gives it to his lobbyists, which uses it to rig tax code. Huh?

Do I have this right?

Did Romney take a charitable contribution deduction on his taxes for money that went through the Mormon Church, to the Private Equity Growth Capital Council which used it to lobby for his tax exemptions?

I'm inferring this from a couple of DU threads, but have not been able to fully connect the dots.

But rather the church turning around and giving the money to a lobbyist group.

When people think of the Tax Exempt Status of churches they think of Soup Kitchens feeding the poor, Blankets for the homeless - you know "Christ like Charity"

Not High Power K St. Firms influencing the Tax Code
