(20,600 posts)As someone with a perverse sense of humor, I can see why it is funny, at the same time that I reject the argument it is making.

(9,726 posts)You don't need "friends" like that, on Facebook or elsewhere.

(7,429 posts)I saw it too. And the comments made after some very nice posts from some of the reporters and anchors at my station were just as horrid. Yeah like none of us work who support President Obama. I had the day off yesterday. And there were many other people who were off because it was a school holiday too. What a bunch of racist idiots! And yes they are racists. Just read between the lines and you will see it.

(14,177 posts)There is no longer any such thing as actual paper food stamps, that I am aware of. They switched to electronic cards years ago. I don't know how many years ago, but several. By, 2000 I think. I don't wanna look it up. But, paper ones they are as gone as the 8 track as far as I know.

(46,314 posts)I think all states now no longer have those "food coupons" like food stamps used to have, now there is a card that is swiped at the checkout.

(1,239 posts)I went thru a few years back and ejected all right wingers out of my life.
I gotta say, it's one of the best things I've ever done, and I look at it this way, if someone is still a RW cheerleader after b*sh's 1st term, it's a personality disorder & they're just too damn stupid to reason with, so they're past redemption. they better hope there's a forgiving god in the next world, cause they aint getting any of that from me.

(35,392 posts)where a RWer mentioned that the "liberals" were not posting, because "all the government offices were closed".
I didn't get a chance to post, but I thought this about it: Okay, libraries and schools are closed, government offices closed, etc. That would mean that people are at home, right? So, all the boards are dominated by RWers "now", right? Does that mean that the majority of those RWers posting on the boards are doing so on their parents' computers because they're unsupervised since they're home from school???

(15,800 posts)from a friend on FB provoked a response for which my 93yo mother would wash my mouth with soap. It insulted Obama and King, and I won't display it here. Now she's claiming that I'm trying to violate her right to free speech. I've known her since she was a teenager (I'm the same age as her mother), I don't intend to unfriend her, still hope she'll come to her senses some day soon. But damn!
