Local radio wingnuts spinning themselves NUT(tier) spinning the Texas shootings

The hosts are framing it as a question for passing laws permitting concealed carry guns on school (college) campuses (campi?).

A wingnut caller claimed that the HARD LEFT would jump on this happening in Texas, that guns are a matter of CHOICE and PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY! Oh, so glad that there is *some* CHOICE and PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY allowable somewhere since they deny it in reproductive rights.

They are all, so far, in favor of allowing guns at schools (by students/colleges). What do they THINK will happen when a population is carrying weapons and an undeniable percentage will be hothead jerks?!1


ON EDIT: Oh, and the person they cited as the representative of the HARD LEFT is Piers MORGAN!1 O'LOOFAH and these other wingnuts are always talking about the FAR/HARD Left. I wonder who of us are just the plain, ordinary, run-of-the-mill LEFT?!1

allowed to carry off campus.

of incidents in which heroic conceal-carriers, by his definition automatically good-guys, shot the bad-guys "with a single shot through the heart."

So by the wingnut's logic, conceal-carry ANYWHERE (churches, malls, schools) guarantees that there will always be a sure shot/hero conceal-carrier just SO much more effective than law enforcement. He said that in one incident the police were there in NINE SECONDS but "it wasn't FAST ENOUGH."

We need to start compiling lists of incidents when legal carriers like security guards forget and leave their weapon in the loo.

9. They Do...It's Called The Darwin Awards...

The late Mike Royko used to do an article once or twice a year about the stupid ways people would shoot themselves. Most involved a male shooting himself in a private location...and almost all were the "sure shot/heroes" who showed how reckless and stupid people are with firearms. Sadly no one is doing those type of reports anymore.

Hate radio loves to play projection...taking all their bad habits and "virtues" and assigning them to "hard left" boogiemen. With zero balance in any "discussion" the stupidity and silliness excelerate. While I am a strong proponent of not just more gun control laws, but enforcement of the ones on the books and the tightening of loopholes...however I still remain skeptical as long as there are so many who want/need their "precious" above the true safety from nuts with guns...

There is good reason why police are uniformed ... that tells us who the 'good' guys are least supposed to be.

I really can't think of a more barbaric society than one where everyone is thought to be carrying a gun in order to 'protect' themselves.

And it also just simply doesn't make any sense.

live with the consequences. People use guns instead of words and people die and are maimed. Stop whining, tough guys. I thought this was what it was all about. You go all in your face with guns ablazin' because that other guy either has a gun he's goin' for and you are sure he's a threat to you.

Live with it. Enjoy the bloodbath you are drawing for yourselves while it lasts. A civilized nation will not long tolerate such amoral thinking.
