9000 show up at career fair for 1000 jobs

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/business/fl-mega-job-fair-20130123,0,7565316.story

Nearly 9,000 job seekers attended, according to Tiffany Price, general manager of the Job News USA job fair. Employers at the fair had about 1,000 openings, including Home Depot, which was looking to fill 300 part-time spots for its busy spring-time season, according to Joe Santelia, district human resources manager.

"There are more companies that are doing massive hiring," Price said.

Florida's unemployment rate is on the decline, down to 8 percent in December from 9.9 percent a year ago. It's an encouraging trend, but there are still many people looking for jobs.

Once inside the arena Tuesday, the job hunters again waited patiently to talk with a potential employer, but often only got to hand in an application or learn how to apply online. The process was often frustrating.

"If you're looking for work, you can't get discouraged," said Marie Boule, 32, standing in her red high heels for more than an hour to enter the job fair.

many CONS in the house and senate have investments in those companies, they fight like hell for the people over there and say fuck us over here.

Some of their base is now starting to really feel the effects of their bullshit so now they are looking for other ways to steal elections so they can finally do us in.

They take our tax money and do as they please and tell us to shut up,and then define for us who the AMERICAN PEOPLE are or what an AMERICAN is.

They make and break the laws then when we complain they tell us 'ITS THE LAW' the laws they make to benefit certain segments of people depending on their agenda at the time..

then they let people go on the 87,88,89 day so they can't collect benefits. I heard republicons on Fox say they want pay to go back to the good old days $2.65 an hr.

Every Saturday they sit at the roundtable and discuss what stocks are good and what to garbage to buy and sell to the people and how to make it worse.
