Words fail, but I'll give it a shot.
(You KNEW I would )
Her appearance and testimony before two congressional committees was a grueling day for her and SHE WAS BRILLIANT!
She absolutely pwned her attackers and detractors.
Never lost her cool and totally controlled both hearings.
If she so chooses, I would wholeheartedly support her for the Democratic nomination for president in 2016.
She'll be 66 this October 26.
That would make her 69 during the '15 campaign.
We've had many older white men as president.
I think she could handle it.
She is my new hero.
GIve 'em HELL, HILL!

(54,256 posts)I didn't get into any of them, but I was for John Edwards.
What a debacle that was.
We know a hell of a lot more about Hillary than we did about John.

(90,552 posts)... but I was for John Edwards at first too. What a first class con artist he turned out to be.
Fortunately for my sense of history, California's primaries are late in the game and I was able to vote for Barack Obama without having to choose between him and Hillary Clinton.
She is spectacular by now. I've gone from thinking she would be unelectable due to the slime and mud the VRWC would throw at her all over again, to knowing she can take anything they dish out because by this time they look like the *holes they truly are. They'll try to resurrect their own ripe history, but this time it is not likely to work with most Americans.

(21,055 posts)Watch everyday now on fox they will be attacking her over this incident and saying how she is incompetent. They will attempt to chip away but by the time 2016 rolls around it will be ho hum Benghazi and will backfire on them big time. So please proceed fox and rush because we are going to make your media irrelevant only the old angry white people watch it and they are a dying breed. Facebook, twitter, Reggit and soon to be developed sites will margalize the corporate media and fox.

(4,427 posts)I thought Obama was a better choice in 2008. He was.
But should she choose to run in 2016- I will knock on doors, hand out literature, and work extremely hard for Hillary. She is ready now, much better prepared to be the President than she was before. She would be unbeatable in the election.

The Clintons were the ones who gave us: The DLC, Rahm, Rubin, Geithner, Triangulation, Media Consolidation and NAFTA.

(12,165 posts)Are you suggesting she should just lay there and take it because of the shit you listed: The DLC, Rahm, Rubin, Geithner, Triangulation, Media Consolidation and NAFTA?
If you haven't noticed people on DU love and adore Warren. We have the capacity to admire more than one person, after all.

(14,087 posts)But I know how conservative the Clintons took the democratic party. I'm an older person, and since the Clintons, the dem party has been to the right of Richard Nixon, whom I demonstrated against. They, and their DLC, shifted the party waaaay to the right.

(3,695 posts)and creating so much drama about her trying to get out of testifying. I heard from a couple of non-political friends who called to say they had heard "my girl" kicked some butt today and had been told they had to check out the clips. What a way to end her public life as SOS. I'm so pleased and happy. Go Hillary 2016!!!

I love Joe Biden with all my heart. He'd be my favorite otherwise. But Hillary KILLED, today. She ate those pipsqueaks for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and every snack around the clock. She has gravitas GALORE!!!!!
FUCKING BRILLIANT!!!!!!! She was Just. Fucking. BRILLIANT!!!!! The republi-CONS on hand for that today looked like gnats. Weiners. Worms. Dog shit.
I plan to call each of their offices and thank them for damn near crowning her our next President by acclamation! They looked ridiculous, petty, pissant, and SMALL. TEENY. Insignificant. Flies that you just swat away. But I must say I DO love that pubic hair transplant that rand paul's got!

(2,522 posts)In fact, the only president who was 69 or older on first taking office was Ronald Reagan. Of course, Joe Biden is even older.
I'd support her if she ran in 2016 nonetheless. It'd make for an interesting factoid if Bill Clinton were one of the youngest presidents and Hillary Clinton one of the oldest?

(30,247 posts)She's a fighter and would have handed the Republicans their asses on a platter on a regular basis these last 4 years.
I hope that she does run in 2016 and that she gets to debate one of these twerps. She'll destroy them.

(37,982 posts)If they weren't so deluded about themselves they would have known that Ms. Clinton is sharper than sharp and unabashedly fearless. A bunch of red-faced, finger-wagging old men trying to intimidate her? It is to laugh.
