Son of NYPD Commissioner and FOX host under investigation for rape...

NEW YORK -- The son of New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly is under investigation after a woman accused him of rape, sources tell NBC New York.

A source confirms a woman filed a sexual assault complaint against Greg Kelly, co-host of Fox 5’s "Good Day New York," with authorities at the 13th Precinct.

Details of her complaint are unknown at this time, but Greg Kelly has not been arrested or charged with any crime.

Kelly's attorney, Andrew Lankler, said that his client was aware of the investigation and strongly denied any wrongdoing.

1. While I have no idea whether those charges are true or not and he certainly deserves

the presumption of innocence given we know so little about the facts, it's interesting to note how his father, Ray Kelly's NYPD is treating his son as opposed to the way DSK was treated.

So far there has been no arrest, no jail, no perp walk, no statements from Brown, known generally in NY as 'Mr. Truth' who was responsible for the beginning of the witch hunt with his false statements about the DSK case. No similar obfuscations of the facts from him on this case.

Ray Kelly needs to go. Not because of this, but because citizens have asked for him to step down because of the rampant corruption with more surfacing each year he is there, of the NYPD under his command.

2. That's what got me about the DSK mess...that the NYPD

suddenly sprung into action so quickly...they never do that, especially in rape cases...they'll drag their feet...something more was in play with that.

3. Many people who were aware of the case just prior to the DSK

case, remarked on the way they treated DSK. The prior case involving rape of several women airc, was barely even investigated.

Not only that, but as veteran reporters who watch the NYPD and Ray Kelly pointed out, considering his reputation for micro-management of how these cases are presented to the public, he appeared to be acting in a very 'hands off' way re the DSK case.

But when it was discovered that Ray Kelly had those close 'French Connections' with DSK's arch rival, Sarkozy, who DSK was beating in the polls, and since then revelations of contacts with Sarkozy's palace, it all became fairly clear. There should be an investigation into whether or not the treatment of DSK was political. There really never was a case there as everyone now knows.

And this is why he needs to go. Even the FBI despises him but whenever they try to speak out, he goes after them.

He has been a disaster for an already not highly thought of PD.
