Jindal to GOP: 'Stop being stupid party'

Republicans must "stop being the stupid party," recognize voter maturity and "go after every single vote," Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal told party members.

"We've got to stop being the stupid party. It's time for a new Republican Party that talks like adults," Jindal, widely considered a possible 2016 GOP presidential hopeful, told some 200 members and guests of the Republican National Committee winter meeting in Charlotte, N.C.

"It's no secret we had a number of Republicans who damaged the brand this year with offensive and bizarre comments," Jindal told the audience Thursday night.

A few meaningless speeches trying to put some distance between himself and the extreme members of his party will not help him.

While he may understand that his party platform is very unpopular with most of the voters, he has not real answers to help them. He really believes that it is not the message that is wrong, it is just being present in the wrong format. Thank goodness for simpletons like him, the are one the democrats best friends.

...and chasing out the non-stupid for being willing to work with Democrats, it's kind of what you wind up with. They make those offensive and bizarre comments because they don't consider them offensive and bizarre; they see themselves as just plain ol'folks tellin' it like it is.

You built that.

He doesn't get it their whole party doesn't get it they are all about winning.

The are only going to pretend and they are going to get their feelings hurt because it is not just about their hateful comments which they will continue to believe, its about their policies and their sense of entitlement and their belief that they are exceptional above everyone else.

Kiss my ass republiCON party! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!

17. The GOP should stop being the Asshole Party, not the Stupid Party.

Many of the elected Republicans are actually pretty smart and clever when it comes to how they get people to support their regressive agenda, and how to rig elections. So it's not about them being stupid--it's about them having unpopular policies and alienating people who aren't already part of their base.
